Our programs have been designed by a PE Teacher who has 26 years experience teaching Primary aged children to play all sports. Our instructors are passionate about keeping kids ACTIVE and are able to make our classes FUN, whilst challenging. We aim to teach and encourage your child to:
Whilst our fitness programs have been designed for children, parents are most welcome to join their child and monitor their fitness levels too!
Our Fitness Instructor, Joel Dedonatis, is a personal trainer and he’ll be able to design a suitable fitness program for you and your child.
Being fit to play a particular sport can be very different when compared to another sport. For example, a gymnast requires flexibility and balance, whereas a weight lifter needs strength and power. There are also differences within the same sport and will depend on the position or role being played. A runner is not just a runner. A Marathon runner needs Aerobic endurance to be successful, however a Sprinter relies on Speed and Power.
We use a battery of tests to determine a child’s fitness strengths. These results can also indicate which sports the child would be suited to playing.
Try testing your Aerobic Endurance with the 20m Shuttle ‘Beep Test’ and your Agility with the ‘Illinois Agility Run’ and see how you compare.
