Frequently asked questions

Are uniforms compulsory?

No, you’re not required to purchase a uniform. However, we believe that your child will feel like part of a team and have a sense of belonging if they wear one. A high percentage of participants do wear our uniform.

Please note that a uniform is compulsory if your child joins one of our competition  teams.

What does my child need?

Your child will just need to wear comfortable ‘active’ clothing with running shoes. They’ll also need a drink bottle filled with water.

How old does my child need to be?

Our Kinder Sports program is suitable for children aged from 2 to 4 years.

Our soccer and netball programs are suitable for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Do children play matches?

Yes, all our programs incorporate non-competitive matches where the focus is on learning how to play and developing the required skills.

Your child also has the opportunity to join one of our teams which play against other teams in a competition.

Are classes indoor or outdoor?

We offer both indoor and outdoor programs at various venues.

My child has never played before. Can they still join?

Absolutely! Our classes are suitable for beginners right through to elite players. We’ll find the right group for your child.

Can a make-up class be done if my child misses a class?

Yes, where possible. If your child misses a session, they’ll be able to participate in a session from another program being run in the SAME term. However, please note that this is not always possible and depends on the program that they’re involved in.

Is Simply Football a soccer club?

No, Simply Football is a soccer academy that runs various programs focussed on skill development. However, we also give our members the opportunity to play as part of one of our teams in competitions that we run.

Do parents need to be involved?

Depending on the age of your child, you’re encouraged to be actively involved if that is beneficial for your child. Generally, during Kinder Sports, parents participate with their child and during soccer and netball sessions they’re able to step back and enjoy watching their child.

Parents are required to be in attendance at every session.
